A 4.3 magnitude earthquake rattled the Puget Sound region Sunday evening, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN).

The epicenter of the quake was under Marrowstone Island, the agency reported on social media.

“We know it was widely felt around the Puget Sound - many of us at PNSN felt it ourselves,” the report said.

The strength of the shaking was too small for a public alert, the agency’s statement added. The U.S. Geological Survey said the tremors could be felt as far north as Victoria, and as far south as Kent and parts of Tacoma.
