FRED HUTCHINSON CANCER RESEARCH INSTITUTE: The Red Door is sponsoring Team Oly, seven Olympia bicyclists riding Aug. 9 in Obliteride, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. There are three ways to support the team and the center: Donate to Team Oly at obliteride.org; watch “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” at the Capitol Theater in Olympia at 6 p.m. July 2; and attend the Team Oly auction at 6:30 p.m. July 10 at Backyard Castlerock, 7744 Ostrander Ct SE, Olympia. The event includes live music, Northwest wine and beer, and appetizers as well as an auction featuring original art, services and trips. Go to facebook.com/obliterideteamoly for details.

CONCERN FOR ANIMALS: This nonprofit needs dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, chicken and bird food; cat litter; beds; blankets and towels in good condition; pet toys; usable dog houses, carriers and crates; leashes and collars. Also, gift cards to any outlet that sells pet food and supplies.
