Shelter Dog 'Having Trouble Getting Adopted' Wins Hearts Everywhere She Goes on Special Day Out
Many dogs in shelters get passed over for various reasons including age, energy level, health condition, and breed. Unfortunately, some pooches end up staying in shelters for extended periods of time, which can take a toll on their mental and physical health.
Stormy has been a resident at Best Friends Animal Society in New York City for quite some time. A shelter volunteer wanted to get her mingling, so he took her on a fun field trip and the canine cutie made a boatload of new friends.

In the TikTok from @madmax_fluffyroad, Stormy was geared up for her big day out, riding in a backpack carried by the shelter volunteer. The precious pooch looked thrilled to be out of her kennel. The post shared that Stormy hasn't gotten many requests for meet-and-greets.
"This dog is having trouble getting adopted, so I gave her the best day ever," the onscreen text read as they rode the subway, with Stormy covering her tour guide with kisses. "She's been in and out of shelters since she was a puppy, so I'm gonna take her on an adventure around NYC!"
As the young man chauffeured Stormy on his back, crowds literally gathered to meet the friendly fur baby. Stormy's sweetness and charm were irresistible to everyone who passed by.
The pooch was treated to some street food and made more friends along the way. Then it was time to explore Central Park before heading to a photo booth for some pics. Of course, they had to stop for a Pup Cup.
The caption revealed that Stormy's 'likes' are "giving kisses, being carried, snuggles, food of any kind, romping, and snuggles (again)." No dislikes were reported.
Stormy Got the Best News Ever
The TikTok creator posted some wonderful news after Stormy's big adventure.
"I'M SO HAPPY to share that shortly after this ride, Stormy was adopted by a lovely couple and her name is now Suzie!!!" the caption explained. "I met the couple and they are the sweetest people!! Have the best life, Suzie! You deserve everything."
Stormy-now-Suzie gets to finally experience a forever family and the love she deserves.
