Mail carriers have a special place in families with pets. Usually, it's dogs who run out to greet the postal workers, but some other beasties have decided to join in. This pig, Puck, has known the UPS guy since piglet-hood and greets him daily.

The caption tells their story: "Our UPS driver has been developing a special bond with Puck since Puck was a baby. Now, whenever we get a UPS delivery, Puck runs up excitedly for his treat and pets!" He slurps down dog biscuits like the best of them.

In this clip, we get to see him come out to the UPS truck to beg for belly rubs and treats. Puck's mom affectionately refers to the delivery driver as the pig's "favorite person" and jokes, "He does not feel this way about FedEx."

Commenters hearted Puck, who naturally deserves the respect he's earned. TikTokers praised him endlessly, including @Dolittle Dreams, who called him, "Adorable," and @JDKLB, who exclaimed, "Puck is awesome."

We especially loved this comment from @Billy oblivion, "As someone who works FedEx, I feel deeply sad, but I am only the package handler." Not everyone can be as awesome as this UPS guy.

Why Pigs Love Routines

We want to establish this first: Pigs are extremely smart. The Humane League explains some of their capabilities, "They're able to remember important pieces of information for long periods of time. They have broad social abilities, too, like distinguishing individuals out of a group; communicating with each other through touch, smell, sound, and sight; and learning to pick up on the verbal and nonverbal cues of humans."

In part because of their excellent memories, they enjoy forming routines and bonding with people. Swine are also extremely social and empathetic. Seeing the same people every day can bring them excitement and happiness. The treats also help a lot. Puck obviously has his routine down, and he's milk-boning every minute of it.
