Hungry Alaskan Klee Kai Demands Dinner-Then Mom Exposes the Truth

If there's one thing that all dogs take seriously, it's dinner time. Some pups act like they're moments away from starvation if their meal is even a minute late, and one dramatic Alaskan Klee Kai named Lucy is definitely one of them.

Completely convinced her mom had forgotten to feed her, Lucy wasted no time making her disappointment known. The vocal pup shot Mom the ultimate side-eye and immediately started complaining without ever bothering to check the food bowl... which just so happened to be already completely full.

If Lucy could talk, we're sure she would've said, "Oops! My bad!" but she didn't even look back to let Mom know she was sorry for her uncalled-for, grouchy attitude!

Is an Alaskan Klee Kai the Same as a Siberian Husky?

One commenter joked, "I have never seen a Chihuahua Husky..." and got more than 100k likes for pointing it out.

This led to several discussions about whether an Alaskan Klee Kai is the same as a Husky. Commenter @Aster shared, "For anyone else who's curious, like I was, this is an Alaskan Klee Kai, and is more like a Husky/Pomeranian mix (though it's more complicated than that)."

@Nerual shared, "I own two AKKs and have worked with other AKKs and many Pomskis (decade of boarding/daycare/training/rescue experience). They have different temperaments, and if considering a small Husky, please look into both thoroughly. AKKs have some Schipperke in them, and they can have some herding tendencies."

According to Wikipedia, the Alaskan Klee Kai was developed in Alaska to be a companion-sized version of the Alaskan Husky. The breed was created using the Alaskan Husky, a small amount of Siberian Husky, a slightly larger amount of American Eskimo Dog, and some Schipperke. The Alaskan Klee Kai is not a breed recognized by the American Kennel Club.

Fun Fact: The name Klee Kai comes from the Athabaskan words meaning "little dog."
