Boston Terrier's Response to 'Bring One Toy' Is Pure Chaos

Dogs often have their own interpretation of what they think we mean, no matter the circumstances. Half the time, they're just so cute, we let them do whatever they want.

In Gertie's case, that means changing Mom's "bring one toy onto the couch" into something a lot more hilarious. This is one clever Boston Terrier made for a management role, because she's CEO energy all day!

As a dog mom myself, I applaud Gertie's ambition here. She didn't hear "one toy," and if she did, she's adorable, and the rules shouldn't apply. I appreciate the fact that she's committed to looking so meek and innocent, like she did nothing wrong, because she did everything right (dogs, take notes)!

This is why everyone's head over heels for Gertie, and many took to the comments on her behalf, with some proudly proclaiming she should be allowed to bring them all, and I agree! Look how sweet she is, surrounded by them. It's not even the cutest thing she's done recently.

While other pups are digging holes in the backyard or chewing up their mom's favorite slippers, Gertie is just a sleepy girl in the world, forced to dance the night away so she'll stay awake past 6 p.m. Honestly, this is all of us every Monday, amIright?!

Maybe a different style of dance would work better??? #dance#dancing#dog#dogsoftiktok#bostonterrier

How Stuffed Animals Help Dogs

Not every dog is as obsessed with a stuffed friend the way Gertie is, but for those who are, it's intense! I have two pups, and only one of them has an affinity for stuffies, mostly for nibbling on when he's feeling anxious. Before rescuing him, I didn't know all the ways having something like that helps-especially when they're rescued from the chaos of a shelter.

Stuffed toys offer comfort to stressed-out or lonely pups while providing an outlet for their instinct to chew on something. The mental stimulation alone is enough reason to offer an abundance of plush options, especially if we have to leave them for any amount of time.

Gertie has the right idea. The more stuffies, the better. In fact, sorry, Mom, but there's no limit on how many are enough!
