Shy Shelter Dog's Emotional Transformation Ends With the Perfect Adoption
On May 20, the Arizona Humane Society shared a behind-the-scenes peek at a shelter dog adoption journey, all the way from arrival to adoption. Sunshine was a shy shelter dog when she met her new friends at the rescue, but by the time she found a forever home, she acted like an entirely different dog.

This resilient rescue dog had been through so much before she even arrived at the Arizona Humane Society, and it's easy to understand why she'd be so shy. Who knows what happened before her rescue friends helped her? Despire all she'd endured, she was the most attentive mama to all of her puppies, but she was still waiting for a chance after all her babies got adopted.
Now, it's her turn to be the baby! She has a yard all to herself, a family to love her every hour of the day, and the confidence to try new things like paddleboarding. Most dogs never even try water sports!

"This is the best short film ever," @radphotographer agreed. "The way it showed her having her toy you gave as a gift until she had a whole bin of toys" was the sweetest thing! Pet parents can relate to dealing with the ever-growing pile of dog toys every pet seems to collect, but only rescue pets like Sunshine know just how special and memorable some of the toys can be.
