Hong Kong-listed drugmaker Sino Biopharmaceutical said on Wednesday its China unit had secured rights to market two respiratory drugs from British company GSK in mainland China.

Here are some details:

• Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical (CTTQ) will commercialise GSK's triple therapy inhaler Trelegy Ellipta and dual therapy inhaler Anoro Ellipta in mainland China.

• Anoro Ellipta is used for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), while Trelegy Ellipta is approved for the maintenance treatment of both COPD and asthma.

• The unit will be responsible for importing, distributing and promoting the products in mainland China, with sales revenue expected to be recognised by CTTQ.

• The deal broadens the companies' collaboration beyond liver disease and into respiratory treatments, following an agreement announced in May to support the launch of GSK's hepatitis B drug candidate in mainland China.
