Summerween may be my new favorite trend. The idea of celebrating Halloween during the summer (or, more accurately, as soon as the Fourth of July has passed) lets me extend my favorite season, soaking in all the fall vibes while also enjoying some sunshine.
That's why I'm always on the lookout for new ways to celebrate, and this TikToker's idea has me planning my next Summerween get-together thanks to her super creative BBQ.

The Cheese Trick That's Stealing the Show at Summerween Cookouts
TikToker @jecamagenta's latest video was full of great ideas for Summerween entertaining. And while I really appreciated all the clever ways she found to make her summer BBQ feel distinctly spooky, her cheeseburger trick was one I haven't seen before.
The TikToker showed her followers how she grilled up some regular burgers, opting to cut the cheese into jack-o'-lantern shapes. But, instead of putting the bread on top of the burger where it typically goes (and where the jack-o'-lantern cheese wouldn't be visible to guests) she opted to put the cheese on top of the bun so that people could enjoy the burger's haunted appearance for much longer.

How to Throw Your Own Spooky Summer Cookout
It looks like Summerween is really hitting home with @jecamagenta's followers, and it quickly racked up a ton of likes. "Craving all of these now," one person wrote in reference to her fun food ideas, which included other meal and drink options.
But you don't have to follow her ideas to throw a Summerween party at your home. There are tons of other things you can do to get into the spooky spirit this summer, and they don't involve firing up the grill.
For example, try carving a watermelon into the shape of a jack-o'-lantern and displaying it on a plate surrounded by fruit. Adding a movie is always a good way to create Summerween vibes. Consider playing a scary movie during your get-together, either for fun family vibes with a classic like Hocus Pocus or for more adult vibes with a slasher like Scream.
If you don't want to go all out for your gathering, you could make it a BYOB affair, asking your friends to bring their own drinks and a snack to share.
