This Guy's Decorative Front Yard Pumpkins Look Store-Bought-They're Actually Made From Pool Noodles

Pool noodles may be a lot of fun to use while swimming, but as many DIYers know, they are also great for crafting as well.

Take this TikToker's latest idea, for example. He used pool noodles to create a larger-than-life pumpkin display for his front yard, and if you didn't know that they were made from the summer staple, you'd be none the wiser. I'm tempted to recreate this look for myself, and I think you will be too after you see just how chic these pumpkins look once they are all put together.

We're in the final stretch, giant pool noodle pumpkin enthusiasts! To make the stem, we mainly use two things: leftover pool noodles from the beginning of the project and air dry clay. That's it! Then, you can paint it however you'd like once dry. These stems have held up through hurricanes and brutally hot Summer days, so we will be following the same technique for this year's giant pumpkin... with a little extra whimsy Shout-out to @Five Below for always being stocked with our favorite air dry clay alternative! #halloween#pumpkin#DIY#halloweendecor#spookyseason

The Surprising Material Behind These Show-Stopping Pumpkins

TikToker @wrathofriverroad has made a five-part series with a tutorial on how to make his stunning pool noodle pumpkins, including ideas for plain pumpkins and spookier jack-o'-lanterns.

He put his massive crafts together using the pool noodles, "High Bouncing Putty," paint, glue, scissors, a primer (for texture), and a sealant. While it sounds impossible for all of that to come together to form the large pumpkins the TikToker displays in his front yard, watching the step-by-step process shows just how the DIY comes to life.

Why Even Seasoned DIYers Say This One's Different

If you're anything like me, you may typically watch DIY craft videos and immediately think, "Oh, I could definitely pull that off." However, the artistry shown by @wrathofriverroad has his followers (and me) saying the opposite, since it's clear he has a gift.

"There's a huge difference between a 'do-it-yourself' video and a 'how an incredibly talented artist did it themselves' video," one person wrote.

"Your skill level is incredible," another person added.

I'm inclined to agree. And while he went to great lengths to share his step-by-step process with his followers, I'm not sure that I'm talented enough to recreate this look (though, it won't stop me from trying)!

Where to Get Pool Noodles

The biggest part of this project is definitely the pool noodles. You'll need a lot of them if you want to make something similar, and that can get expensive. However, if you wait until right at the end of summer, when many stores are starting to clear out the pool stuff to make room for more seasonally appropriate items, you may be able to get yourself a deal.

That being said, you don't want to wait too long to get started. There's a reason why @wrathofriverroad is showing this DIY off in the middle of summer. That's because pool noodles are a lot harder to find once fall begins, so you'll need to stock up on these supplies while you can. Otherwise, you may have to wait until next summer to try this pool noodle pumpkin project.
