Tires Season 3 Premieres on Netflix August 13, 2026: Fans Excited Despite Mixed Reviews
Netflix users will soon be able to enjoy the upcoming return of a comedy series that is beloved by fans but has been severely panned by some critics. More than a year after viewers last got to enjoy new episodes of Shane Gillis' hit workplace comedy, Tires Season 3 is coming soon to the popular streaming giant.
‘Tires' Season 3 Is Coming to Netflix on August 13, 2026
Kasey Moore from What's on Netflix reported that Netflix has confirmed that Tires Season 3 will premiere on August 13, 2026. The raunchy workplace comedy series focused on a failing auto body shop was co-created by Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben, and John McKeever. It stars Gillis, Gerben, Chris O'Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias, and Thomas Haden Church.
Less than a month after Tires' second season premiered, a fan posted about the series' renewal on the r/television subreddit. That post, which was published on July 1, 2025, got several responses from fans expressing excitement, including one from a user who wrote "Hell yesssss! Loved season 2. Can't wait!" That wait is finally almost over, as the premiere is less than a month away.
Critics Have Savaged ‘Tires'
On Rotten Tomatoes, Tires has a meager 58% Tomatometer score, which is an unimpressive figure, to say the least. However, that number really undersells the level of vitriol that has been directed at the show from some critics.
After the release of Tires' first season, a writer for Pajiba penned an article with the title "Netflix's 'Tires' and the Gutless Comedy of Shane Gillis." A truly brutal take on the show in general, the most telling aspect of the article was deeply insulting. "It's not just hack work; it's cowardly. It is gutless." Not stopping there, the review went on to label the series "lazy and tedious."
Around the same time, the Los Angeles Times didn't hold back while arguing that the show's "humor doesn't veer from juvenile." The article noted that the reviewer wasn't offended by the show since it was "too pointedly juvenile to take that seriously." What they wrote next was arguably far more insulting than that. "Still, I didn't laugh once. Humor is funny that way."
‘Tires' Is a Hit With Fans
From the moment that Tires premiered on Netflix, the series has been a success with viewers. As a May 2024 Tom's Guide article noted, the comedy reached No. 2 on Netflix's television Top 10 in America within five days of its premiere. The first season garnered more than four million views in its first few days alone. In June 2025, a BGR article reported that the show's second season had yet again reached the same spot on Netflix's TV chart in the United States.
In addition to watching the comedy series, Tires fans have also praised the show on the internet. One example of that is the series garnering an impressive 89% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes from the website's users. Perhaps the most compelling evidence of the series being embraced is an r/netflix subreddit post with a very telling title: "Forget the critics, Tires is extremely funny." While that post received a notable number of negative comments, the vast majority were from supporters, many of whom wrote some variation of two powerful words: "Love it!"
