Who does the moving company call when it needs to move?
Moving company Bekins Northwest is moving itself.
The company is relocating its corporate headquarters from Olympia to Lakewood this month.
Bekins has purchased the former Hostess factory at 8500 Durango Street SW in Lakewood, just east of Mountain View Memorial Park, according to Sommer Valles, Bekins’ marketing coordinator.
The site will serve as the new corporate headquarters and main distribution warehouse.
The company said the new location, with roughly 150,000 square feet of warehouse space, will better serve the needs of its customers.
Bekins provides services related to moving, packing and storage for residential and business customers.
Bekins Northwest has branch locations in Seattle, Lakewood, Tacoma, Federal Way, Olympia, Moses Lake, Yakima, Richland, Walla Walla and Spokane.
The company plans to have the facility operational by Dec. 10, Valles said.
