SafePlace names Sarah Lloyd executive director

Sarah Lloyd is the new executive director of SafePlace, the nonprofit organization that helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Lloyd replaces former longtime executive director Mary Pontarolo, who retired in June.

Lloyd previously was the MyJob program manager at Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council. She also worked at Community Youth Services as the director of youth employment and education.

She has a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Northern Colorado and is a certified master trainer and counselor. Her first day on the job is expected to be Aug. 7.

The public is invited to meet Lloyd between 4 and 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at the SafePlace Community Service Center, 521 Legion Way SE. For more information, call SafePlace at 360-786-8754.
