The city of Olympia has approved a right-of-way lease agreement with King Solomon’s Reef, which will allow the downtown restaurant to use a nearby alley for outdoor seating.

Under the terms of the four-year lease, the Reef will pay annual rent of $1,612 the first year, and that amount will increase by 4 percent per year.

“This annual rent has been determined by city staff to reflect the fair market value of the leased area,” the approved city resolution reads.

The Reef is known for its tater-tot nachos and milkshakes.
