Shipping news: Kiwi Trader arrives Saturday
The Kiwi Trader is expected to arrive Saturday at the Port of Olympia and load 2.6 million board feet of Weyerhaeuser logs before departing for China on Sunday.
The quick turnaround for the Kiwi Trader will make way for another ship that is expected to arrive Sunday, the port said in a news release. Log loading for the Kiwi Trader is expected to generate more than 1,600 hours of dockworker labor.
The Kiwi Trader's final destination is Huangdao, China.
