Umpqua Bank partners with Kiva to offer no-interest loans to BIPOC, women businesses
Umpqua Bank has launched a $1 million managed loan fund with Kiva, a nonprofit that provides capital for historically underserved entrepreneurs.
Through Kiva’s crowdfunding microloan platform, Umpqua is providing eligible women and Black, Indigenous and people of color entrepreneurs no-interest loans up to $15,000 to finance their emerging businesses.
Qualifying business owners in Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho will receive a triple match from Umpqua for every dollar crowdfunded for their business through Kiva.
To apply for Kiva financing and the triple dollar match through the Umpqua Bank, entrepreneurs can visit the Umpqua-Kiva partnership page. The initial application process typically takes 20-30 minutes.
