Overview
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is a compact luxury coupe SUV that dresses the top-selling GLC SUV in a sloping fastback shape that trades some cargo and rear-seat space for a stylish presence. Power comes from a 255-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-four in the GLC 300, but there are 313-hp GLC 350e PHEV, 416-hp AMG GLC 43, and 671-hp AMG GLC 63 S E Performance trims as well, though we assess the 63 S separately.
A 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive are common to all, as well as the latest 3rd-gen MBUX infotainment system, a panoramic glass roof, and a genuinely premium cabin. The GLC Coupe is suited to drivers prioritizing style over ultimate practicality, and typical rivals include the BMW X4, Audi Q5 Sportback, and Porsche Macan.
What's New for 2026?
The 2026 GLC Coupe continues mostly as is into the new model year. Additional styles of 19-inch alloy wheels become available at no extra cost. A new AMG Lite Plus package comes with a rear spoiler and a choice of 19- or 20-inch AMG alloy wheels.
The MBUX infotainment system was meaningfully upgraded last year, and this year it gains MBUX Entertainment Plus on Exclusive and Pinnacle AMG trims, which brings audio and video streaming, such as Disney+, while there are minor changes to the AMGs' cabin finishes. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe's price list starts at $59,650.
Exterior
The Coupe sacrifices some rear-seat and trunk space for a stylish fastback profile that defines the model's identity. Flush all-LED headlights, a star-pattern chrome grille, and a drag coefficient of 0.27 give the shape a smooth, aerodynamically resolved appearance. Its length of 187.6 inches and width of 74.4 inches place it firmly in the subcompact segment.
Available exterior packages add AMG bits (AMG Line and AMG Light Plus), while the Night package blacks out the exterior trim. A glass panoramic roof and power liftgate are standard.
Interior
The GLC Coupe's cabin is a particular strong suit, with an impressive tech package comprising a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MBUX profiles, biometric authentication, navigation, a wireless charging pad, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and more.
MB-Tex leatherette can be upgraded to Nappa leather, but you get standard heated power front seats, 64-color ambient interior lighting, and silver diamond-pattern cabin trim, which can be optioned up to various wood finishes. The rear quarters are a bit tighter due to the coupe shape, and the 19.2-cu-ft trunk is 20% smaller than that of the SUV - notably lower than the BMW X4.
Price Range and Best Value Trim
The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe delivers the full luxury cabin, all-wheel drive, and decent performance without the AMG premium, making it the most compelling in the lineup.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Outstanding cabin quality with premium materials and MBUX
- Smooth, efficient 255-hp MHEV powertrain
- Standard AWD and 9-speed automatic
- Strong powertrain ladder from GLC 300 to 671-hp AMG 63 S E Performance
Cons:
- Sloping roofline reduces rear headroom and limits cargo to 19.2 cu-ft
- Touch-sensitive steering wheel controls are less intuitive than physical buttons
- Many desirable features remain costly optional extras
- Four-year warranty lags Genesis and Volvo's five-year coverage
Verdict
The GLC Coupe makes a deliberate trade: rear-cabin and trunk practicality for a stylish coupe shape, so it's meant for style-conscious people who don't mind the compromise - and the fact that it comes at a significant premium over the SUV. What they get in return is a well-equipped coupe SUV with a tech-rich luxury cabin.
The GLC 300 is the most sensible buy, with adequate performance from its 255-hp powertrain, standard AWD, and a fully featured infotainment system. The GLC 43 may still be worth it at the price, but the $93K 63 S E Performance is hard to recommend as a rational purchase, despite being a remarkable engineering achievement.
