People news: Shelton hospital names Tavis employee of the month

Pharmacist Craig Tavis is Mason General Hospital’s employee of the month for August, the hospital announced.

Tavis, who also recently became a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist, has worked at Mason General since November 2011.

Before that, he worked in the private sector as a pharmacist and for his family’s pharmacy for 15 years.

“I had interned at Mason General in my second year of pharmacy school,” Tavis said in a statement. “So when the position opened up here, I was excited to be able to come back.”
