State jobs outlook on the agenda at free, public symposium Oct. 29 in Olympia
The Labor Market and Performance Analysis Division of the Washington State Employment Security Department will host a half-day symposium on labor market perspectives in Olympia on Oct. 29 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The symposium is free and open to the public.
The event, according to a recent ESD release, “will focus on economic and employment trends in the state and local economies” and is designed for “researchers, economists, policymakers, education professionals, workforce development experts, employers and those who use high-level data to make informed decisions.”
Presentations at the symposium will include:
▪ A look at the state of the state’s labor market.
▪ A description of real-time employer demand, occupational projections and the labor market supply;
▪ A panel exploring employer perspectives.
The gathering will be in the first floor auditorium of the Department of Social and Health Services building in Olympia at 1115 Washington St. S.E.
