U.S. Chamber of Commerce honors local group that helps employ veterans
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently honored Camo2Commerce, an Olympia-area program that helps employ veterans, as part of its Hiring Our Heroes gala this month.
Camo2Commerce won the Capitol One award for small business veteran and military spouse employment, according to a news release.
The chamber foundation singled out Camo2Commerce for “demonstrated leadership” by a small business or organization in hiring veterans and transitioning service members and military spouses.
Camo2Commerce is a program of the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, which serves a five-county area, including Thurston County.
