The Birth House receives national accreditation

The Birth House, owned and operated by midwife Constance Frey, has received national accreditation as a birth center, the Olympia business announced.

The birth center’s services were evaluated by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers, which measured care at the Birth House against national standards, according to a news release.

The Birth House has been operating as a licensed childbirth center for six years, delivering about 500 babies to date.

Birth center accreditation in the U.S. began in 1985.
