Training session for entrepreneurs focuses on LGBT outreach

The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Administration will host a training session on June 2 to assist businesses in their outreach to the LGBT community.

The “LGBT Business Builder” will be held from noon until 5 p.m. at the Seattle Central Library Microsoft Auditorium, 1000 Fourth Ave., in Seattle.

The purpose, according to an SBA release, will be to highlight the benefits of certification, increase the number of certified businesses and provide information about the benefits offered by the SBA.

Speakers will include representatives from the national group, local businesses and from the SBA.

Business owners and entrepreneurs attending the event will find information concerning certification as well as tips concerning new procurement opportunities.

The event is free. For more information, contact the NGLCC at 202-234-9181 or at affiliaterelations@nglcc.org.
