Heads up while stalking those Pokémon, insurance group counsels

How far has Pokémon Go gone?

Far enough that the Northwest Insurance Council on Friday issued a few warnings.

“By all means have fun in the great outdoors trying to catch all those little virtual monsters, but be safe about it,” the council said in a release.

Counseling for common sense, the council advised drivers to pay attention by keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the steering wheel.

For those on foot, the council urges players to avoid dark and secluded places and to “look up from your phone frequently to avoid bumping into road signs, tripping over curbs or walking into an oncoming vehicle.”
