Thurston County cases of COVID-19 grow to 120, including another child
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose to 120 on Saturday after two more people, including another child, were identified as having the virus, public health officials announced.
The two cases were a woman in her 40s and a girl who falls into the age range of 0-9, according to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services. The county has not been releasing specific ages.
The county has identified three children since early May who have contracted the disease. The county identified a girl on May 2, a boy on May 6 and a girl on May 9, the data show.
Of the 120 cases in the county, seven have been 19 or younger. To date, only one person has died, while 108 people have either recovered or are recovering, giving the county 11 active cases.

▪ Pierce County now has 1,668 cases and 60 deaths. Two Tacoma women in their 80s were the latest deaths. Both had underlying health problems, according to public health officials.
▪ Lewis County has 30 cases and three deaths.
▪ Mason County has 28 cases and one death.
▪ Grays Harbor County has 13 cases.
Thurston County has so far had eight cases this week. The next update is at 3 p.m. Sunday.
