Watch: Washington Gov. Inslee, industry leaders on reopening retail, auto, hospitality

Gov. Jay Inslee has scheduled a press conference for 3:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss the steps that members of the hospitality, retail, and auto sales industries are taking to safely reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The governor will be joined virtually by Anthony Anton of the Washington Hospitality Association, Renee Sunde of the Washington Retail Association, and Jennifer Moran of the Washington Auto Dealers Association.

After the governor has a conversation with them, Inslee will answer questions from reporters. Anton, Sunde, and Moran will not participate in the media questions and answers, the governor’s office said. The format is similar to the one last week when the governor had a conversation with nurses, said Inslee spokeswoman Tara Lee.
