Thurston County COVID-19 cases grow by 7 to 1,128

Seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 were announced Saturday by county health officials.

The seven cases were two males younger than 20, two men and a woman in their 30s, a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 70s, according to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services.

There have been 35 new cases of COVID-19 so far this week.

The county’s overall number of cases is 1,128. Of that total, 939 people have recovered or are recovering, 79 have been hospitalized at some point during their illness and 16 have died.

The number of COVID-19 facility outbreaks has changed again. It fell to one from three on Thursday, but was back up to two on Friday. A nursing facility and an adult family home are experiencing an outbreak, a county spokeswoman said.
