Woman with injured knee is rescued from Mount Washington in Mason County
A woman who injured her knee on Mount Washington in the Olympic National Forest is now safely off the mountain, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office announced via social media Sunday afternoon.
Mason County authorities received assistance from a Navy helicopter, according to the sheriff’s office twitter feed.
The woman was rescued about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mount Washington has an elevation of more than 6,000 feet.
