Fake $100 bills are being used in Shelton, city says

City of Shelton

Officials in Shelton are telling residents to look out for counterfeit $100 bills.

In a tweet Thursday, the city said fake $100 bills have been used in Shelton.

The fakes are smaller than real currency and more flimsy. “For Motion Picture Purposes” is printed on the front and back.
