Man slumped over the wheel in drive through at Dairy Queen was allegedly on heroin
A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in the drive through at Dairy Queen in Grand Mound, according to a post on the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Deputies later determined the man had allegedly consumed heroin, then drove to the Grand Mound Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard. The man also was booked on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.
About 5 p.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to the area after a report of a man slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. He also allegedly struck two vehicles. Deputies said the man was not breathing and unconscious when they found him.
Narcan, a drug used to block the effects of heroin, was administered and the man began to gain consciousness. After being treated at an area hospital, he was booked into the Thurston County Jail.
