A minivan crashed through the front windows of an empty commercial space in downtown Olympia shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

The space is in a mixed-use building at Fifth and Adams that has residences above it.

The driver was out of the vehicle and talking to law enforcement shortly after the crash. Another car appeared to have been damaged.
