She was supposed to take care of a patient. She drank a half gallon of liquor instead.
Thurston County home health care aide Crystal Rene Whited has had her credential indefinitely suspended, according to the state Department of Health.
“While she was providing in-home care services to a patient, Whited drank about half a gallon of liquor, and became extremely intoxicated,” stated a news release.
Whited was employed by Catholic Community Services, and entered an intensive in-patient rehabilitation program after the incident, which occurred on or around Jan. 10, 2017, according to DOH’s statement of charges.
In October, the Home Care Aide Program charged Whited with unprofessional conduct for drinking alcohol on the job.
