Man flown to Harborview after being struck by car in Mason County
A 22-year-old Belfair man sustained injuries and was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car on state Route 3 in Allyn.
According to the Washington State Patrol:
The man attempted to cross Route 3 at milepost 21, and collided with a southbound 2005 Toyota Camry. The crash was reported at 3:53 p.m. and its cause it believed to have been a “pedestrian violation.”
The driver, a 26-year-old Grapeview man, was not injured. His vehicle sustained reportable damage and was towed from the scene.
Investigators believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
