Traffic stop turns into pursuit, rollover, and a fleeing suspect dropping a purse
An attempted traffic stop turned into a pursuit and ended with a one-car rollover crash in the 2400 block of Reservation Road Southeast early Tuesday, according to Thurston County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carla Carter.
Two people from inside the vehicle ran from the scene, Carter said.
A Thurston County dispatcher said the pursuit was reported at about 5:17 a.m. The crash occurred about two minutes later, Carter said.
A search warrant was obtained, and deputies recovered a stolen gun, a large amount of cash, and narcotics from the vehicle, Carter said.
Investigators are working to identify the suspects. “One of them dropped a purse,” Carter said.
No other information, including where the chase originated, was immediately available.
