Olympia man injured after U-turn goes badly
A 29-year-old Olympia man was injured and taken to Providence Centralia Hospital after a collision on U.S. Route 12 in Lewis County, near the town of Ethel, according to the Washington State Patrol.
About 7:30 a.m. Friday, the man had stopped on the eastbound shoulder of U.S. Route 12 in his Dodge minivan, then attempted to make a U-turn. While doing so, he was struck by a woman eastbound in her Hyundai SUV. The 49-year-old woman was not injured.
