Update: Detra Burten was located on Thursday and is OK, according to Lacey Police.

Lacey Police are asking the public to help find a missing woman.

Detra D. Burten, 45, was admitted to the psychiatric unit at Providence St. Peter Hospital on Jan. 21, and released the next day, according to a news release issued by Lacey Police on Wednesday.

She hasn’t been seen since.

“Detra has not been taking her medication and may be in a manic state,” the news release stated. “Detra does not have any associates in the area besides her immediately family who reported her missing.”

Burten is black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 300 pounds, and has light brown eyes and black hair with little multi-colored ties. She was last seen wearing a gray zip-up hoodie, a white stocking cap, capri pants, and burgundy slippers and carrying a tan “MK” purse.
