Henry R. Mincey was found Thursday, after Lacey Police issued a Silver Alert for the 71-year-old man.

Lacey Sgt. Jaime Newcomb said Mincey was found driving his Mercury Mountaineer on Interstate 5 near DuPont by the Washington State Patrol, and is in good health.

Mincey, who has dementia, had gone missing about 9 a.m. Wednesday. He had recently moved to Lacey from University Place and was known to frequent the University Place Walgreens and the Tacoma Mall.

A Silver Alert is a public notification system in the United States to broadcast information about missing persons — especially senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, dementia or other mental disabilities — in order to aid in locating them.
