Flood watch issued for Thurston, Lewis counties
The National Weather Service in Seattle has expanded a flood watch to include Thurston and Lewis counties starting early Sunday until early Tuesday.
Rain, heavy at times, is expected Saturday night through Monday. The heaviest rainfall will be along the west slopes of the Cascades, where 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected.
As of Saturday afternoon, forecasters expected flooding to be minor. A flood watch means there is potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
