A pickup truck crashed into a Subaru Forester on Monday morning after the driver of the truck allegedly attempted to pass a log truck in a no passing zone, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

A no-passing zone is marked by double yellow lines.

The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. Monday at 133rd Avenue Southeast and Raintree Loop Southeast in Rainier. No injuries were reported and the roadway was closed in the area for a short time, according to Thurston County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carla Carter.

The truck’s driver was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
