2 injured in 4-car crash in Lewis County

Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Lewis County on Sunday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.

Three vehicles were stopped in traffic when a 2001 GMC Yukon tried to avoid the stopped traffic and hit the three vehicles. The driver of one vehicle and a passenger in another were injured and taken to Providence Centralia Hospital.

According to State Patrol, the Yukon’s driver, a 39-year-old man from Grayland, was driving too fast for conditions and could face a charge of negligent driving.

The crash happened at about 1 p.m. near milepost 63 near Winlock.
