Police searching for 44-year-old Shelton man who left home and never showed up at work
Update, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday: Ackley's vehicle was found abandoned outside city limits, but initial search and rescue efforts were unsuccessful, Shelton police say.
The search area is now being monitored by the Mason County Sheriff's Office.
The Shelton Police Department is seeking the public's help to find a missing Shelton man.
Dale Ackley, 44, was reported missing Wednesday by his family, and entered into the national database for missing persons.
He was last seen leaving his home in a gold 2001 Ford Escape with a Washington license plate reading 342-XTR. He did not show up for work, and has not accessed any personal accounts, according to police.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Shelton police at 360-426-4441.
