A pedestrian was killed Monday night after being hit by a pickup in Lewis County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The pedestrian was identified late Tuesday as 38-year-old Brandon C. Ditmeyer of Peoria, Arizona.

The driver of the pickup is a 22-year-old Chehalis man.

About 7:20 p.m. Monday, the pickup was westbound on state Route 508, near Napavine, when it crashed into the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was reportedly walking in the westbound lanes.

The incident is under investigation.
