Weather-related school cancellations for Monday

Snowy Saturday brings neighbors out to play

Nearly a foot of snowfall in Tumwater had neighborhoods experiencing an epic snow day on Saturday, Feb. 9. And kids will have a chance to enjoy whatever's left because the Tumwater school district and others will remain closed Thursday.

Tumwater School District has announced there will be no school on Monday. This also applies to New Market Skills Center, as well as athletics and other school activities.

Also:

-North Thurston Public Schools: Closed. All after school and evening activities are closed, too.

-Olympia School District: Closed. No kindergarten or preschool and no out-of-district transportation. No athletics, activities and facilities use on Monday.

-Rainier School District: Closed. No activity bus runs.

-Evergreen Christian: Closed, including no preschool, before and after school care and any events or activities.

-Saint Martin’s University: Closed, including Joint Base Lewis-McChord offices.

-Olympia Waldorf School: Closed.

-Shelton School District: Closed.

-Yelm Community Schools: Closed.

-Pope John Paul II High School: Closed.

-Wa He Lut Indian School: Closed.

-Rochester School District: Closed.

-The Evergreen State College: Closed. No daytime or evening classes.

-Tenino School District: Closed.

-South Sound YMCA: Closed. No Y-care in the Griffin, Olympia, North Thurston and Tumwater school districts.

-South Puget Sound Community College: Closed.
