Woman in critical condition following crash on Capitol Way
A woman hit by a car on Capitol Way South over the weekend remained in critical condition Monday, according to Olympia police.
The crash happened about 9 a.m. Sunday. The woman in her 60s was in a crosswalk at Eighth Avenue Southeast when she was hit by a southbound vehicle on Capitol Way turning onto Eighth Avenue.
The woman was seriously injured and taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital.
The road was closed for several hours for the investigation. Lt. Paul Lower said the driver was not impaired and no crime occurred.
