A 60-year-old Thurston County man appeared in court Friday, accused of assault and unlawful imprisonment, court records show.

Thurston County Superior Court Commissioner Nathan Kortokrax found probable cause to charge Larry P. Frazier with two counts of first-degree assault with a firearm and unlawful imprisonment while armed with a firearm.

Bail was set at $10,000.

According to charging documents:

About 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Thurston County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Stillwell Street Northeast after a report of a woman being held at gunpoint.

Deputies arrived to hear the woman yelling. The woman eventually ran outside, and the door was shut and locked behind her. Frazier later exited the residence, too, but not before he allegedly pointed his weapon at deputies.

The 28-year-old woman later explained that she had put an ad on Craigslist because her car had been impounded and she needed money quickly. The ad was for cleaning services, she told deputies. She arrived at the residence and began quoting Frazier a cleaning price, while her husband went to the store.

Meanwhile, Frazier said he wanted sex for a price.

“He then grabbed her by the throat and pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her neck, saying she was going to have sex with him or she wasn’t leaving,” the charging documents read.

Deputies later found four handguns at the residence. They also learned that the man referred to as the woman’s husband was wanted by the state Department of Corrections for a felony no-bail warrant. Not only was Frazier taken into custody, but so was that man.
