Fire started in crawl space and spread to master bedroom, fire official says
A house in the 7300 block of Autumn Park Drive Southeast was damaged by fire Monday night, according to East Olympia Fire District 6.
The residents of the house and their pets were able to get out safely, assistant fire chief Mark Nelson said.
Fire crews were dispatched about 9 p.m. to the address south of the Horizon Pointe neighborhood in Lacey. Firefighters discovered a fire that had started in or near the crawl space of the home, Nelson said, then burned through the floor and spread to a master bedroom.
However, fire crews were able to contain the fire to the bedroom, he said.
The fire is under investigation.
