Driver hit 2 motorcycles, a building, an SUV, then fled, court records show

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and injury hit-and-run over the weekend after s string of incidents that left a trail of damage in his wake, Thurston County Superior Court documents show,

According to charging documents, Lacey police first responded at about 10:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a white truck hitting two motorcycles at the Cedar Inn Tavern, 9030 Martin Way E., then leaving the scene.

As Lacey police investigated that matter, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a Chevron gas station at 9335 Martin Way E. after a report of a white truck crashing into a building. The truck then continued north on Meridian Road Northeast.

Later, Lacey police responded again to a report of an injury crash at Meridian Road Northeast at 31st Avenue Northeast that involved the white truck and a Honda Pilot. The driver fled that scene on foot.

The suspect was tracked down by a K9 about 200 yards north of the collision hiding in the bushes.
