Pickup crashes into school bus in Lacey; no children were hurt, police say
A Mazda pickup that police say was being driven recklessly crashed into a school bus Monday afternoon, according to Lacey police.
The 22-year-old pickup driver was injured; the half-dozen children aboard the bus were not hurt, Sgt. Jaime Newcomb said.
About 4 p.m. Monday, the pickup struck a parked trailer in the 1300 block of Glen Mary Drive Southeast, then rolled onto its side and slid into the bus.
Newcomb said the incident is under investigation for hit-and-run and reckless driving.
