Driver attempts to pass vehicle, then loses control, troopers say

A 23-year-old Onalaska woman wound up at an area hospital Sunday morning after her attempt to pass another driver ended badly, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 8:30 a.m. Sunday, the woman was headed west on state Route 508 — approaching the Napavine area in Lewis County — when troopers say she attempted to pass another vehicle in her 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

During that attempt, troopers say she lost control of her vehicle, drove off the road and crashed into a tree. The woman was driving too fast for the conditions, according to the State Patrol.

She was later taken to Providence Centralia Hospital.
