Driver loses control on US 101, crashes into car, fence and house
A 69-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle on US 101 Wednesday morning and eventually hit a house, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Sedro-Woolley resident was injured and taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
About 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, the woman was headed south on U.S. 101 in Mason County. Troopers say she lost control at milepost 329, crossed into the northbound lane and struck a vehicle, a fence and house.
The cause of the crash was “inattention,” according to the State Patrol. The driver swerved to avoid a vehicle that was braking, Trooper Chelsea Hodgson added.
Troopers say she faces a possible charge of second-degree negligent driving.
