3 Shelton residents hurt in crash on US 101

Two women and a girl from Shelton were injured Saturday after they crashed into a guardrail on U.S. 101, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers say the driver’s speed was too fast for conditions.

Just before 5 p.m. Saturday, the three were headed north on U.S. 101 at Shelton-Matlock Road.

Troopers say the vehicle drifted over to the right shoulder, then the driver over-corrected her steering and crossed into the southbound lane and crashed into a guardrail.

The 39-year-old driver, her 58-year-old passenger and a girl were taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton, according to the State Patrol.

The driver, troopers say, did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance.
